THE A5 MAGAZINE RESORT: GUEST NO.3: ANNE LASS

A5:RESORT is a virtual space in which we host artists and designers, inviting you to take a peek into their work. Our next guest is the photographer Anne Lass.

"Inspiration to me is a big melting pot between visual influences one is confronted with hundreds of times a day."

Hello Anne and welcome to our Resort. What did you choose to present?

I am presenting works from my project Storms Æra. The project is an approach to the story behind an abandoned guesthouse, located in a little village at the North Sea on the coast of Denmark. The book displays photographs taken of the present space, a collection of photographs from the private albums of the Storm family, who have owned the place for the past three generations, and excerpts from interviews with the former owners. The book contains 2×20 pages and is just about to be released.

Who are you and where are you from?

My name is Anne Lass, I am an artist based in Berlin, Germany.

What inspires you?

Inspiration to me is a big melting pot between visual influences one is confronted with hundreds of times a day, reviewing and learning from former projects and seeing work by other artists of all mediums. Inspiration is also moving and travelling, reading an interesting article, having a good conversation or even seeing someone strange walking down the street.

Tell us about a significant moment in your career/work/life

A significant change is coming up, when I will leave Berlin to move to Bornholm (a tiny island in Denmark) in two months.

Where can we find you?

You can see more of my work on www.annelass.de

What is the best place we shouldn’t miss when visiting your town?

Sunset at Tempelhofer Flugfeld.

Who would you like us to invite to the A5 Resort?

Emil Holmer @ emilholmer.com

Well, thanks for being our guest and have a pleasant stay… cheers!
